What You Need to Know Before You Buy:

• Iron-Clad Durability (The AC5 Rating): Laminate has evolved far beyond the easily chipped floors of the past. We stock premium lines featuring AC4 and AC5 Abrasion Class ratings. What does that mean? AC5 is built for heavy commercial traffic. If you have large dogs, busy kids, or high-traffic hallways, this wear layer is essentially scratch-proof.

• The "Waterproof" Truth: Many modern laminates (like our Lago collections) are marketed as waterproof. Thanks to wax-sealed locking systems and hydrophobic coatings, they offer an incredible 24 to 72-hour "spill window"—perfect for a knocked-over water glass or a pet accident. However, they are only waterproof from the top-down.

• The SPC Pivot: If your project involves a high-moisture area like a bathroom, or if our onsite moisture testing detects vapor coming up from your concrete subfloor, we won't sell you laminate. Instead, we'll introduce you to 100% waterproof SPC (Stone Plastic Composite) to ensure your investment never warps or swells.
